Wine & Bottle...

She was out for shopping… Last 2 months were the busiest days of her life. "Buying a brand  new home is not as simple as they quote in home loan advertise. Probably buying a house is easier but to make it a sweet home is definitely not easy” , she thought. She was on top of  the world, when she, with her husband received the keys of their own house.

Most of her friends advised her to give a contract to interior decorators, who can make best use of each and every corner of the house, and still make it beautiful. Her husband was also insisting the same as he knew that, it will be difficult for him to take out the time from office to help her in decorating their house. But she did not listen to anyone. She wanted her house to become her dream home. The dream she and her husband saw together. She did not want to borrow the dreams of some professional decorator.

Though the house they bought was not too big but was definitely sufficient for their family. She wanted to decorate her house in such a way that it will reflect the personality of each and every one in her family. She bought a wall clock with gears for her machine loving husband. She bought a curtain which can hold the collection of CDs for her father in law. She bought crockery rack just to display the crockery collected by her mother in law since her entry to the new family. Each and every corner of her house was showing the versatile human natures living happily, under the same roof.

Today, while wandering around the mall, she was thinking about her new home. About the gifts, about delicious food, the overall arrangements for the function, about their relatives and friends who came with best wishes for her house warming ceremony.

She was feeling blessed. Her home was the perfect canvas for her picture perfect family.

After all those tiring days, today she was relaxing at coffee shop in the mall. It was the time when she wanted to celebrate her happiness with her family. She closed her eyes to imagine those wonderful moments in her new home. 'She, her husband, her father in law and mother in law. Sitting on the brand new sofa in their drawing room. Wine bottle, on the center table with glass top. Chatting and recollecting those beautiful moments that they spent together throughout these years. The wine glasses, getting filled and refilled, when connection with world outside their door is lost. The moments of satisfaction, happiness, smiles were replacing the wine in bottle and glasses...'

She thought, she will keep those wine bottle and glasses in her home for ever... Just like a wine, this precious moment will get older and tastier with time...

100 Happy Days...

Few days back I was reading a blog “Kay Vatel te” written by Mr. Mahendra Kulkarni (Popularly known as Mahendra Kaka). The blog had a post with similar title. Out of curiosity I started reading the post and got the subject for my this brand new post.

Each day of our life gives us something good or bad. But then it’s up to us what to remember and what to forget and move on. As an ideal answer every one of us will say, “We should remember the good things that happens to us” but at the same time we all know that we simply creep for the bad things that happens to us.

What I believe is each day brings something good for us, and it’s just a matter of realizing the good part. Mahendra Kaka’s blog post inspired me to find out such a good thing in each day, anything which brings smile on our face; anything which makes us happy; anything which gives us satisfaction.

So now for next 100 Days I will try to note down the moments which gave me “Feeling Happy :)” status. Let’s see how far I can go…

Day#1 – Happiness is having holiday on very first day of the month :)

Day#2 – Happiness is eating butterscotch ice cream in wafer cone :)
Day#3 - Happiness is finding the petrol pump when u r worried if your 2 wheeler can pass next 50 Mtr. :)

Day#4 - Happiness is watching your favorite TV serial on Sunday as well :)
Day#5 - Happiness is teasing your friend on one of the silliest topic and every one including her enjoys it a lot :)
Day#6 - Happiness is talking to your friend about your frustration & he gives you a small solution that u could not think of :)
Day#7 - Happiness is overloaded with your favorite work in office :)
Day#8 - Happiness is watching a bird who they say can fulfill your wish :)
Day#9 - Happiness is when ppl understand your qualities and realize that they can not go ahead without you :)
Day#10 - Happiness is when you spend time with loved once :) 
Day#11 - Happiness is preparing a greeting card for your best friend :)
Day#12 - Happiness is completing one of important task of the month :)

Day#13 - Happiness is sleeping an extra hour :)

Day#14 - Happiness is when client approves your solution without any questions or doubts :)

Day#15 - Happiness is meeting your friend after long long time and then watching the cutest photos of her baby girl :)

Day#16 - Happiness is when election results gives you your favorite and most deserving candidate as PM  :)

Day#17 - Happiness is shopping shopping :)

Day#18 - Happiness is prepare a beautiful greeting card when you have already messed it up :)

Day#19 - Happiness is having eating veg manchurian :)

Day#20 - Happiness is perfectly ready for celebration :)

Day#21 - Happiness is smile on birthday boy's face, whole day celebration with your loved one :)

Day#22 - Happiness is when message comes to appreciate your efforts for the perfect birthday celebration :)

Day#23 - Happiness is when your plan gets successful :)

Day#24 - Happiness is completing eating your favorite chocolate throughout a day :)
Day#25 - Happiness is eating unlimited PaniPuri :)
Day#26 - Happiness is eating yummy Chocolate Almond cake on ur best frnz birthday :)
Day#27 - Happiness is when u almost miss the ofc bus, but driver uncle see u and stops the bus for u :)
Day#28 - Happiness is receiving the cutest photo of your nephew on watsapp :)
Day#29 - Happiness is teasing your friend on her new look after marriage :)
Day#30 - Happiness is long drive on your bike after long time :)
Day#31 - Happiness is travelling to Mama's place :)
Day#32 - Happiness is receiving 500 Rs as blessings :)
Day#33 - Happiness is enjoying the tea time with your friends :)
Day#34 - Happiness is when you get the logical answers to your questions :)
Day#35 - Happiness is when people praise u for your cooking skills :)
Day#36 - Happiness is when someone tells u the secret news :)
Day#37 - Happiness is when u eat ice cream with truti fruity
Day#38 - Happiness is when your mom is back to home and you no more need to worry about any household work :)
Day#39 - Happiness is when they believe that you know few things better than others and your age does not matter in such case :)
Day#40 - Happiness is when you give your best to convince them :)
Day#41 - Happiness is when your best friend, philosopher, guide calls you almost after an year :)
Day#42 - Happiness is when your best friend tells you his secret which was never a secret for you  :)
Day#43 - Happiness is when your best friend promises you that he will gift you key chains to add them in your key chain collection :)
Day#44 - Happiness is when you understand your mistake and have guts to say "sorry..!!!" :)
Day#45 - Happiness is dealing with unending questions if your cutest nephew :)
Day#46 - Happiness is watching a movie in theater after 15 hrs of successful deployment :)
Day#47 - Happiness is eating mangoes when you are hell lot of hungry :)
Day#48 - Happiness is when you get the approval for... :)
Day#49 - Happiness is in wearing a brand new dress and everyone else appreciates your choice  :)
Day#50 - Happiness is when someone gives you a sweet surprise :)
Day#51 - Happiness is when you could finish your work in time, when you are overloaded with it :)
Day#52 - Happiness is eating tasty pavbhaji and butterscotch ice-cream :)
Day#53 - Happiness is when you cook delicious dishes for your family :)

The Magical Balloon...

Today morning, I was waiting for my bus, when I saw small kid with his mother. Mother was carrying a heavy load of utensils to sell. The small footsteps of kid were unable to catch up the walking speed of his mothers. There were lot of other attractions on road; pulling him back. 

At one corner of road, there was a balloon seller standing, blowing the colorful balloons, one by one. Balloons catch hold the attention of kid making him stood there only.Twinkling eyes of kid were very innocent and were busy in watching the magic of balloon getting bigger and bigger.The kid was staring at the balloon, and the balloon seller at the kid. 

I don't know what the balloon seller was thinking of; but suddenly he took the bright red color balloon, and handed it to the kid. The kid’s eyes got filled up with the happiness and were shining like small diamonds. Kids mother, still unaware of all this, turned back for her kid and found her son, with a red balloon in his hands, big smile on his face and the eyes shining with the happiness. Mother came to her kid and told her son to return the balloon as she did not have any money to buy it.

The kid saw the balloon again and raised his hand to return the balloon when balloon seller told kid's mother that it’s a gift to her son. Kid's eyes blinked with happiness again; he was carrying the magic in his hands. The balloon seller was happy with the kid’s smile and was happier for being a reason of that smile.

Women's Day...!!!

It was an evening before women's day when we were planning for the day. My office was celebrating women’s week and arranged everything specially for female employees. Celebration for a week included Women health care, makeover parlors, Book exhibition, many surprise games n gifts. Whole environment was full of women power...

On women’s day i.e. on 8th March, office announced traditional day for female employees and this was the event we were planning for. Our discussions were endless and finally we settled down on a traditional punjabi salwar suite.

Next day we reached office in our best dress. At office gate we saw security ladies were checking our bags. Today they were not just checking the bags but were giving something to each female employee. It was a woman’s day special greeting card; Women empower badge, red rose and a big smile. Company was appreciating our strength, our efforts, our dedication, our wisdom, our spirit, our womanhood…

All of us were happy, it is really a nice feeling to know that; someone notices, appreciates you.

Every girl entering in our ODC was carrying a big smile on her face. Everyone around was bz with planning and celebrating the women's day. Yes...!!! boys were also celebrating the day by teasing all the girls :) :)

On one of my friend Pooja’s desk, I saw a bunch of red roses. The bunch of roses turned my teasing mood ON and I started teasing her with my questions and comments. How could I miss such a golden opportunity of fun? The day at office came to an end with lots of beautiful memories.

While returning back, I was having chat with some other friend of mine, when I told her about Pooja's bunch of red roses. I was telling her how I enjoyed the teasing, when my friend told me that, the bunch of red roses was not the one that Pooja received; but those roses were for the security ladies staff. Pooja gave a rose to every lady in the security crew. It was surprising... When we were busy in planning our DAY, she was thinking of a DAY for each and every women around her. She wanted the pure smile on their faces. She was not only appreciating the security lady's efforts but also celebrating their courage, strength, willingness for betterment.
